Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! We went to Grandpa Mark and Grandma DeAnna's cabin this weekend. It was so much fun! There is so much room to crawl around and explore. I got to dig through rocks by the shoreline, play in Grandpa's boat, meet lots of people at Grandma's garage sale and play in the grass!

Bathtime in the laundry tub

Mom, Dad and Grandpa went fishing on Ripple Lake. Grandpa used to take mommy fishing on this lake when she was a little girl and someday I will get to go too! They caught lots of sunfish, a few bass and Grandpa caught a northern.

Playtime in the grass!

We celebrated Great Grandma Lois' Birthday! She turned 84 on May 30th. We ate strawberry shortcake. Yummmm!!!

Grandpa made me an indoor swing! So cool!

Getting sleepy

He even changed my stinky diaper! Ha ha!

Keeping Busy!

Hi everyone! I am finally feeling better and eating tons again! My surgery has been switched to June 3rd. Hopefully I can stay healthy so we don't have to change it again. I am, of course, keeping very busy. My favorite thing to do is to play outside. I love pulling grass, playing with woodchips and rocks and throwing the toy for Ruby. I get to go to the Mille Lacs cabin this weekend. I am excited to spend time with Grandpa Mark and Grandma DeAnna. Great Grandma Lois will be there too! Daddy is going to go fishing and hopefully catch me some yummy fish. I might even get to take a ride in the boat if it is nice out. Next weekend, after my surgery, Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Linda are going to come visit me! I am so excited!!!

Here are some fun pics of me:

Getting all pretty for my neighbor, Alysha's, baby shower!
I love my turtle toy. I need to grow a little more so I can touch the ground!

I love to climb on EVERYTHING!

As you can see from this picture, my left eye still gets goopy and teary.

I have mastered the slide!

My favorite puppy dog! I know how to bark like a dog too!

Turkey hunting

Jason and Krista went Turkey hunting last weekend in Durand, Wisconsin. We didn't do much hunting....there was very little turkeys around! We heard a few gobbles, but that's about  it. Here are a few pics from our trip:
(Samantha got to spend the weekend with Grandma DeAnna)

We found about 150 morels under one tree!!

Surgery Update

Hi Everyone! Well, surgery has been canceled. Sam was running a fever for a few days this week, so we decided to postpone until June 3rd. We think she is just teething, but she (and her mom) has definately had a rough couple of days. She seems to be feeling better today, but has become my little "cling-on" and hasn't been eating very much. She seems to have become very picky!
We hope the weather continues to stay nice so we can play utside. That is Samantha's favorite place to be!

Splish Splash

It was finally warm enough to play outside and splash in the pool! I loved it even though the water was COLD!!!

Surgery update

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update on Samantha's eye goobers. We went to see a pediatric opthamologist a few weeks ago and we were told that her clogged tear duct in her left eye will most likely not clear on it's own now that she is over age 1. So, this means she will have surgery. The date is set for May 20th with a pre-op appointment with her doctor on May 16th. She will go under general anesthesia and the surgery should take just a few minutes. We will have to stay there for an hour or two after the surgery, but will be able to go home that day. My worry is that she can't eat anything prior to surgery and probably not for a while after, so I am sure she will be very hungry. She has been eating a lot lately...growth spurt! I also am obviously worried about her going under. But, I keep telling myself that it will all be ok and she probably won't remember anything! Will keep you posted.
